Cindy Sherman: This is a very interesting portrait to me. I like this because it is very informal for a portrait photograph. The background is interesting being in a city with big buildings with interesting texture. Her expression is what makes the photo. You feel like you are catching a real expression or emotion through the subject of the photograph. It isn't just a regular sit down and smile type portrait, it shows emotion.
Annie Leibovitz: This photo is made really special by the use of lighting. The white lighting really brings out the white dress on the subject. The setting of the photo is very elegant which is perfect for the outfit of the subject. I also really like how the photographer used rule of thirds to show her subject and background which fit together perfectly.
Imogen Cunningham: I really like the use of black and white in this photograph. The black and white really brings out the age in the photograph as it makes textures really stand out. The texture and age of the subjects skin is brought out by the black and white. I also really like how the photographer used a black background so the subject was the only focus. This makes you pay attention to her emotion and the textures on her skin and clothing.
